Boundaries

Boundaries

I can set a boundary. It may not be easy and it may not feel great, but I can do it. I can sit with the reality of the boundary I have set so that I don’t   boomerang into action to undo it when it feels unfamiliar, scary or anxiety provoking. I have a right to do what I need to do to keep myself sane and balanced. I will not use my boundaries to bully others nor to punish them. When I set a boundary it will be sincere and only with the best intentions.  If I have set my boundary too firmly, I can amend it. If I need to set it more firmly, I can do that too. Nothing is permanent. When I sit with the feelings that setting a boundary bring up in me, I learn things about myself, about why I was not able to set it sooner and about what not setting it cost me.
         I am worthy
When you know who you are;
when your mission is clear and you burn with the inner fire of unbreakable will;
no cold can touch your heart;
no deluge can dampen your purpose.
You know that you are alive.
